Toy Story 3 Part 2

INT.PASSAGE
Woody grabs onto the janitor's cart and rides under it.

WOODY
Come on. Come on. Oh, no, no.

Woody is taken to a toilet. He thinks that he can go out from a window.

JANITOR
What... What the heck?

EXT.YARD
Woody escapes outside deaperately.

WOODY
Now, that's better.

BONNIE'S MOM
Bonnie!

BONNIE
Bluebells, cockleshells...

BONNIE'S MOM
There you are. Come on, honey.
It's time to go home.

Woody goes up a roof. But Woody sees high fences.
The wind blows and Wooody's hat is swept away.

WOODY
No, no, no, no!
Reach for the sky!

Woody uses a paraglider . But Woody is swept by the wind and he is stuck in a tree.
At that time, Bonnie walks by.

BONNIE
Bluebells, cockleshells. Eenie, miny...

Bonnie picks Woody up and pulls his string.

WOODY
You're my favorite deputy.

BONNIE'S MOM
Bonnie!

BONNIE
Coming!

WOODY
Great.

Bonnie takes Woody for her home. Woody's hat is left under the tree.

INT.CLASSROOM
Jessie is consoling Bullseye.

JESSIE
It's gonna be okay, Bullseye.

BUZZ
Woody's going to college with Andy.
It's what he's always wanted.

MR. POTATO HEAD
He's crazy. College is no place for a toy.

MRS. POTATO HEAD
Toys are for playtime.

HAMM
Speaking of playtime, they're lining up out there!

BUZZ
How many?

HAMM
There must be dozens.

REX
I can hardly wait!

BUZZ
Places, everyone!

Buzz thinks it's suspicious that other toys are hiding.

REX
At last! I 'm gonna get played with!

BUZZ
Rex?

REX
Come to papa.

INT.BONNIE'S HOUSE

WOODY
'Here's a snake in my boot.
I'd like to join your posse, boys,
but first I'm gonna sing a little song.

BONNIE
A sheriff! Move over, Mr. Pricklepants.
We have a guest. You want some coffee?
It's good for you. But don't drink
too much, or you'll have to...

INT. BONNIE'S HOUSE
Woody is going to leave Bonnie's room.
Buttercup says that there is no exit.
Woody gets impatient.


BUTTERCUP
Just kidding. Door's right over there.

DOLLY
Well, cowboy, you just jumped right in, didn't ya? I 'm Dolly.

WOODY
Woody.

DOLLY
Woody? Really? You're gonna stick with that?
'Cause now's your chance to change it, new room and all.
That's coming from a doll named Dolly.

Woody draws back. Woody collides with beans.

PEAS-IN-A-POD 1
Who's the new guy?

Are you a real cowboy?

WOODY
Well, actually...

PEAS-IN-A-POD 3
'Course he's not, pea brain. He don't even have a hat.

WOODY
I do too have... My hat!

Told ya.

BONNIE
I found a spaceship!

MR.PRICKLEPANTS
Showtime.

Bonnie comes to the room.  Bonnie puts the toys in a cardboard box. Bonnie runs.

BONNIE
Quick, get in. Fasten your seat belts. Close your tray tables. Hold on.
It might get a little bumpy.

Bonnie flies the toys.


BONNIE
Three, two, one, blastoff! You saved us, cowboy. You're our hero.

INT. SUNNY SIDE
The toys are beaten up after the children play with them roughly.

SLINKY DOG
I got a kink in my slink.

REX
My tail! Where's my tail?

HAMM
Someone need a hand?

MR.POTATO HEAD
Where's my nose?

MRS.POTATO HEAD
Here it is.

MR.POTATO HEAD
Here's your arm.

MRS.POTATO HEAD
Give me that. That's mine.

MR.POTATO HEAD
Honey, the mustache?

BUZZ
I don't recall playtime being quite that strenuous.

REX
Andy never played with us like that.

JESSIE
We're just gonna have to make the best of it.

MR.POTATO HEAD
But these toddlers, they don't know how to play with us.

The toys walk to Buzz Lightyear.
Rex holds his tail and Hamm falls on a sofa.

REX
They're too young!

HAMM
Yeah, they're sticky.

SLINKY DOG
Well, we should be in the Butterfly Room.

MRS.POTATO HEAD
With the big kids!

MR.POTATO HEAD
That's right.

HAMM
Yeah, you said it.

Buzz hears their opinion and wants to make a suggestion to Lotso.
And he tries to go out of the room.

BUZZ
We'll get this straightened out.
I 'll go talk to Lotso about moving us to the other room.
Blast. Try that one.


Jessie jumps and pulls the doorknob.

JESSIE
It's locked!


Slinky dog pulls the other one.

SLINKY DOG
Same here.

Buzz goes down to the ground. He points to the windows.

BUZZ
Try the windows.

Hamm looks at the key of windows.

HAMM
Negatory. It's a Fenster-Schneckler 380.
Finest childproof lock in the world.

Mrs. Potato Head is upset.

MRS.POTATO HEAD
We're trapped!

Then Buzz finds something.

BUZZ
Wait. Did anyone notice the transom?

Toys gather under the transom. However they are too small.

MR.POTATO HEAD
Oh, great. How do we get up there?

Mr.and Mrs.Potato head, Slinky dog, Jessie and Buzz have a hand cart.

BUZZ
All right, everyone. On three! One, two...


And they start to run with it.

JESSIE
Three!

BUZZ
Whoa!

JESSIE
Let go!

Everyone except for Buzz lets go and it runs straight without slowing down.
Buzz is on the handle. It collides with the wall and stops.
The handle is up and Buzz flies high. He catches and slides down the rope.
Next, he lets go of it and swings from hanging things like a monkey.
Hamm tells Bullseye and Rex the timing.

HAMM
Go!

Bullseye and Rex drop on a broom. It's handle is up.
Buzz jumps on the tip of the broom with perfect timing.
And he goes down to the transom.

TOYS
He did it! Yes, sir!

Buzz throws a rope to toys. Jessie grabs it.

JESSIE
Way to go, Buzz!


Buzz finds that two Sunnyside's toy walk along the corridor in front of the room.
Buzz pricks up his ears.

CHUNK
Yeah, you think they had a fun playtime?

SPARKS
They might hear you.


Then Buzz wonders about them. On the left hand, Ken and Barbie flirt in front of the door
 of the next room.

KEN
Okay, now you start.

BARBIE
I...

KEN
Love...

BARBIE
You.

KEN
See? That time, I said "love." Okay, now me first.

BARBIE
Okay, okay, okay.

KEN
I...

BARBIE
Love...

KEN
You. You see what I mean? It changes every time.

BARBIE
You are so smart.

TWITCH
Come on, Romeo. We're late.

BARBIE
I 'll wait up for you.

KEN
Kisses!

 Buzz drops with a string slowly.


Buzz runs after Chunk and Twitch, then enters the vending machine.


The Sunnyside toys make a bet.


KEN
All right, place your bets. Come on, everybody.

CHUNK
Come on. Any splits?

TWITCH
Heya. Bring it here.

KEN
All right. Here we go.

CHUNK
Come on, horsey, come on!

TWITCH
Come on, turkey, come on, turkey.

SPARKS
Gobble, gobble, baby.

CHUNK
Come on, horsey.

STRETCH
Come on, duck.

KEN
All right, that's it. No more bets.

CHUNK
Come on! Right here.

TWITCH
Let me have the duck, let me have the duck, let me have the duck!

MACHINE
Here is a duck.

STRETCH
I won!

KEN
Ah, man!

KEN
Well, Stretch takes the round.

STRETCH
You lost!

KEN
Okay, minimum bet, five Monopoly.Coyote's wild.

STRETCH
Here, here.　Two greens here.

KEN
Changing two double A's. Hey, what do you guys think of the new recruits? Any keepers?

STRETCH
Oh, please! Landfill!

KEN
Cowgirl? Dinosaur?

TWITCH
Toddler fodder.

KEN
But that space guy, he could be useful.

CHUNK
He ain't the sharpest knife in the place where they keep the knives.

SPARKS
Neither are you, Chunk.

TWITCH
You got a little keeper yourself, didn't you, Ken?

The Sunnyside toys say bad things about Buzz and others. And Twitch makes fun of Ken about Barbie.

KEN
Hey, lay off, Twitch. Barbie's different.

STRETCH
Aw, Mr. Softy over here.

CHUNK
What do you expect from a girl's toy?

KEN
I 'm not a girl's toy! I 'm not! Why do you guys keep saying that?

TWITCH
All them toys are disposable. We'll be lucky if they last us a week.

Buzz stops eavesdropping on them and tries to leave, but Big Baby finds him.

KEN
Well, well. Looky who we have here.

The toys hold down Buzz.

BUZZ
Let me go!

KEN
Take him to the libary.

BUZZ
No!

INT.HOUSE
Woody tries to steal out of Bonnie’s room.

WOODY
1225 Sycamore.

PRICKLEPANTS
Woody, what are you doing?

WOODY
I gotta get outta here.

TRIXIE
You're leaving?

BUTTERCUP
But didn't you have fun today?

WOODY
Well, of course I did,more than I've had in years,
but, you see, I belong to someone else.


Woody shows them the sole of his foot, with the name "ANDY" written on it.


BUTTERCUP
Who's "Yid-nuh"?

PRICKLEPANTS
I believe it's pronounced "Yid-nay."

DOLLY
Guys, it says "Andy."

WOODY
He's my Bonnie. And he's leaving soon.I gotta get home.

PEAS-IN-A-POD
Where's home?

WOODY
Elm Street. 234 Elm. You guys have a map?

DOLLY
We're on it, cowboy. Trixie?

TRIXIE
I 'll fire up the computer.


INT. SUNNYSIDE DAYCARE
Buzz is tied to a chair.

BUZZ
Unhand me, you cowards! I demand to talk to Lotso!

KEN
Zip it, Buck Rogers. You don't talk to Lotso till we say
you can...

Lotso appears.


LOTSO
Ken? What's goin' on here? Why is this toy tied up?

KEN
He got out, Lotso.

LOTSO
"Got out"? No, no, no, no, no. This isn't how we treat our guests.
F-A-oh, my Schwarz. There you go. I 'm so sorry.

Lotso unties buzz.

BUZZ
Lotso, there's been a mistake.

LOTSO
A mistake?

BUZZ
The children in the Caterpillar Room
are not age-appropriate for me and my friends.



INT. STORAGE CLOSET
BUZZ
We respectfully request a transfer to the Butterfly Room.

LOTSO
Well, request granted!

KEN
But, Lotso...

LOTSO
Hush now, Kenneth.This toy's shown initiative, leadership. Why, I 'd say
we've found ourselves a keeper.

Lotso lifts Buzz’s arm. His gang applauds dutifully. Lotso throws his arm around Buzz.

LOTSO (TO OTHERS)
Hear that, everyone? We got a keeper!

LOTSO (TO BUZZ)
We're calling you up to the big leagues, son. From now on,you'll have anything you want.

BUZZ
Excellent. I 'll go get my friends.

Lotso stops.

LOTSO
Whoa, whoa. Hold on there, boss. Those Caterpillar kids need someone to play with.


BUZZ
But my friends don't belong there.

LOTSO
None of us do, I agree. Which is why,for the good of our community,we ask the newer toys,
the stronger ones, to take on the hardships the rest of us can't bear anymore.

Buzz frowns.

BUZZ
Well, I guess that makes sense.

Lotso smiles.

BUZZ
But I can't accept. We're a family. We stay together.

Lotso’s smile fades.

LOTSO
Family man, huh? I understand. Put him back in the timeout chair.

Big Baby grabs Buzz and slams him into the toy chair.

BUZZ
What are ya... Unhand me!

LOTSO
Bring in the Bookworm.

BOOKWORM
Here it is.It was filed under "Lightyear."

Lotso opens the booklet, flips through it.

LOTSO
Let's see here."Accessories. Maintenance."Here we go.
"Remove screws to access battery compartment."

BUZZ
What are you doing?

They force Buzz down and access the battery compartment.

BUZZ
Stop! Let go of me!

LOTSO
"To return your Buzz Lightyear action figure to its original factory settings..."

BUZZ
No!

LOTSO
"...slide the switch from Play to Demo."

BUZZ
Stop! No! No! No!

JESSIE
What was that?

MR. POTATO HEAD
Sounds like it came from the hall.

JESSIE
I 'll see what it was.

MR. POTATO HEAD
What do you see? Anything?

MRS. POTATO HEAD
No, just a dark hallway and... Wait. Wait! I see Andy!

MR. POTATO HEAD
What?

REX
That's impossible.

MRS. POTATO HEAD
No, no, I really see him. In his room. My other eye! The one I left behind.
This is so weird. He's packing up. Here comes Buster. Out of the way!
Get away! Okay, Andy's out in the hall. He's looking in the attic.
Wait, there's Mom. Why is he so upset? Oh, no! Oh, this is terrible.
He's looking for us. Andy's looking for us!

REX
He's looking for us? So Andy does want us. I knew it! I just knew it!

MRS. POTATO HEAD
I think he did mean to put us in the attic.

MR. POTATO HEAD
Well, then, Woody was telling the truth.
REX
Holy cow!

HAMM
And you didn't believe him.

MR. POTATO HEAD
Hey, you didn't believe him first!

JESSIE
Guys, we gotta... We gotta go home!

Then, Lotso and some toys enter the Caterpillar Room.

JESSIE
Lotso!

LOTSO
Hey, there. How y'all doin' this fine evenin'?

JESSIE
Thank goodness! Have you seen Buzz?

MRS. POTATO HEAD
There's been a mistake. We have to go.

LOTSO
Go? Why, you just got here. In the nick of time, too. We were runnin'
low on volunteers for the little ones. They just love new toys, now, don't they?

MR. POTATO HEAD
"Love"? We've been chewed, kicked, drooled on.

MRS. POTATO HEAD
Just look at my pocketbook!

LOTSO
Well, here's the thing, sweet potato. You ain't leavin' Sunnyside.

MRS. POTATO HEAD
"Sweet potato"! Who do you think you're talking to? I have over 30
accessories, and I deserve more respect...

Suddenly, Lotso takes her mouth by force.

LOTSO
That's better.

MR. POTATO HEAD
Hey, no one takes my wife's mouth, except me. Give it back, you furry air freshener!

JESSIE
Come on, guys. We're goin' home.

LOTSO
Whoa there, missy. You're not goin' anywhere.

JESSIE
Oh, yeah? And who's gonna stop us?

Suddenly, Buzz appears.

REX
Buzz! You're back!Buzz?

Buzz attacks his friends.

JESSIE
Hey!

MR. POTATO HEAD
Look out! What are you, nuts?

SLINKY DOG
Buzz!

Buzz subdues all the toys.

BUZZ
Prisoners disabled, Commander Lotso!

JUSSIE
Buzz, what are you doing?

BUZZ
Silence, minions of Zurg! You're in the custody of the Galactic Alliance!

MR. POTATO HEAD
"Zurg"?

REX
"Galactic Alliance"?

HAMM
Oh, boy.

LOTSO
Good work, Lightyear. Now, lock 'em up!

BUZZ
Yes, sir!

Andy's toys are confined by some toys being in the day-care center.

TOY
Where do you think you're going?

JESSIE
Buzz! We're your friends!

BUZZ
Spare me your lies, temptress. Your emperor's defeated, and I 'm immune to
your bewitching good looks.

MR. POTATO HEAD
Hey, Mongo! Keep your paws off my wife! Hey! Let go of me, you drooling doofus!

LOTSO
Not him. I think this potato needs to learn himself some manners. Take him to the box.

MR. POTATO HEAD
Hey! Put me down, you moron! Where are you taking me? Bad baby! Bad baby!

INT. THE CATERPILLAR ROOM
Mr. Potato Head is taken somewhere by the Big Baby. And, Barbie enters the Catapiller's Room.

BARBIE
Ken? What's going on?

KEN
Barbie! I told you to wait in the Dream House.

BARBIE
What are you doing to my friends?

A TOY
Get in there!

INT. THE CATERPILLAR ROOM
Barbie finds her friends are treated cruelly.  She leaves Ken.

KEN
Barbie, wait!

BARBIE
Don't touch me. We're through!

KEN
Barbie! I did...

BARBIE
And give me my scarf back!

Barbie also is confined.

LOTSO
Lightyear! Explain our overnight accommodations.

BUZZ
Sir, yes, sir! Prisoners sleep in their cells. Any prisoner caught
outside their cell, spends the night in the box. Roll call at dusk
and dawn. Any prisoner misses roll call, spends the night in the box.

Mr. Potato Head is put in the box.

BUZZ
Prisoners do not speak unless spoken to. Any prisoner talks back,
spends the night...

JESSIE
In the box! We get it.

Buzz moves toward Jessie, threatening her.

LOTSO
At ease, soldier. They're neutralized. But remember, they'll say anything
to make you doubt yourself.

BUZZ
Don't worry, Commander. Any doubt I had got pounded out of me at the academy.

LOTSO
Listen up, folks. We got a way of doin' things here at Sunnyside.
If you start at the bottom, pay your dues, life here can be a dream come true!
But if you break our rules, step outta line, try to check out early, well, you're just hurtin' yourselves.

Lotso throws Woody’s hat down.

JESSIE
Woody! What did you do to him?

LOTSO
You all get a good night's rest. You got a full day of playtime tomorrow.

Lotso goes away.

INT. BONNIE’S HOUSE
Woody examines the map with a PC.

WOODY
1225 Syca... Who's Velocistar237?

Trixie deletes the message.

TRIXIE
That's just a dinosaur toy down the street.
That's nothing. Let me just take care of that.
Just a dinosaur.

WOODY
All right. Sycamore. Okay, enter!

Trixie pushes the enter key.

WOODY
Please don't be far. Please, please! Right around the corner?
It's right around the corner!

WOODY
I 'm going to college! Look at me!
I 'm big toy on campus! Hello!
Hey, I 'll see you at the sock hop.

HEDGEHOG
Okay, Potsie.

WOODY
Hey, listen. If any of you guys ever get to Sunnyside Daycare,
you tell 'em Woody made it home.

HEDGHOG
You came from Sunnyside?

DINOSAUR
But how'd you escape?

WOODY
Well, it wasn't easy. What do you mean "escape"?

HEDGEHOG
Sunnyside is a place of ruin and despair. Ruled by an evil bear
who smells of strawberries.

WOODY
Lotso?

HEDGEHOG
The guy may seem plush and huggable on the outside,
but inside, he's a monster.

WOODY
But... How do you know that?

HEDGHOG
Chuckles. He'll tell you.

CHUCKLES
Yeah, I knew Lotso. He was a good toy. A friend.
Me and him, we had the same kid, Daisy. I was there
when Lotso got unwrapped. Daisy loved us all.
But Lotso, Lotso was special. They did everything together.
You've never seen a kid and a toy more in love.
One day, we took a drive. Hit a rest stop. Had a little playtime.

Daisy puts down the toys and plays with them.

CHUCKLES
After lunch, Daisy fell asleep.

Daisy's parents carry her to the car. The car drives off.

CHUCKLES
She never came back. Lotso wouldn't give up. It took forever,
but we finally made it back to Daisy's. But by then, it was too late.

Daisy has a new Lotso bear.

CHUCKLES
Something changed that day inside Lotso. Something snapped.

LOTSO
She replaced us. Come on!

YOUNG CHUCKLES
No, she only replaced you!

LOTSO
She replaced all of us. Didn't she? She don't love you no more!
Now come on!

Big Baby cries.

CHUCKLES
We were lost. Cast off. Unloved. Unwanted.

INT.KITCHEN
Chuckles, remembering.

CHUCKLES
Then we found Sunnyside. But Lotso wasn't my friend anymore.
He wasn't anyone's friend. He took over Sunnyside
and rigged the whole system.

WOODY
So how'd you get out?

CHUCKLES
I got broke. Bonnie found me, took me home. Other toys, they weren't
so lucky. It ain't right what Lotso done. New toys, they don't stand
a chance.

WOODY
But my friends are in there.

BUTTERCUP
You can't go back.

MR. PRICKLEPANTS
Returning　now  would  be  suicide!

DOLLY
But what about your Andy?

TRIXIE
Isn't he leaving for college?

INT. CATERPILLAR ROOM

BUZZ
Quiet, musical hog! Knock it off!

JESSIE
Oh, Bullseye. I miss Woody, too.
But he ain't ever comin' back.

LOTSO
Rise and shine, campers!

BUZZ
Commander Lotso, sir! All quiet, nothing to report.

LOTSO
Excellent, Lightyear. Come on. We need ya back at Star Command.

MRS. POTATO HEAD
Wait! What've you done with my husband?

LOTSO
Big Baby.

Big baby brings Mr. Potatohead in and dumps him on the floor.  He
is covered with sand.

MRS. POTATO HEAD.
Sweetheart!

MR. POTATO
It was cold and dark. Nothing but sand and a couple of Lincoln Logs.

HAMM
I don't think those were Lincoln Logs.

LOTSO
You all get ready. You got a play-date with destiny!


INT. CATERPILLAR ROOM
Woody comes back to Sunnyside inside Bonnie's backpack.  He gets out, and then
he sees a telephone toy.

WOODY
Hello?

LIFER
You shouldn't have come back, cowboy. 'Hey've cracked down hard since
you left. More guards, more patrols. You and your friends
ain't ever getting out of here now.

WOODY
I made it out once.

LIFER
You got lucky once. Want my advice? Keep your heads down. You'll survive.

WOODY
Yeah, for how long?

LIFER
I've been here years. They'll never break me.

The Lifer rolls forward. Through the window, they see a toy being thrown into the garbage.

LIFER
Poor fella. Trash truck comes at dawn. Then it's off to the dump.

Woody bends down, respectful.

WOODY
Look, I appreciate your concern, old-timer. But we have a kid waiting
for us. Now, we're leaving. If you'd help us, one toy to another,
I 'd sure be grateful.

The Lifer sighs.

LIFER
Well, if you're gonna get out, first thing you gotta get through's
the doors. Each door is shut and locked. Keys are left dangling on a
hook in the office. Locked, every night. Inside and out.
Keys are left on a hook in the office.

WOODY
Got it. What else?


Toy trucks patrol the empty halls of the day care.

LIFER
Lotso has trucks patrolling all night long.

Hallway, lobby, playground.

WOODY
Yeah, yeah, yeah. What about the wall?

There are trucks patrolling along the mural-covered cinder block wall.

LIFER
Eight-feet high. Cinder block. No way through it.
You go over or under.

WOODY
That's it? Doesn't seem so bad.

LIFER
It's not. Your real problem's the monkey.

INT. OFFICE
A toy chimp sits at the console of security monitors.

LIFER
The monkey's the eye in the sky.

The bank of monitors is reflected in his eyes.

LIFER
He sees everything.


Chatter Telephone tells Woody that many toys have been caught after all, although
 they tried to escape from Sunnyside.

LIFER
Classrooms. Hallways. Even the playground.
You can unlock doors,sneak past guards, climb the wall,
but if you don't take out that monkey,
you ain't going nowhere.You wanna get out of here?
Get rid of that monkey!

A bell rings.

TEACHER
Recess! Come on, kids!

WOODY
Hey, guys.

JESSIE
Woody? Woody!

REX
Woody!

MRS.POTATO HEAD
Hey, hey, hey, buddy! Thank goodness!

They quickly run and gather around him.

SLINKY
You're alive!

WOODY
'Course I 'm alive! Hey, my hat! Wait, where's Buzz?

REX
Lotso did something to him!

SLINKY
He thinks he's a real Space Ranger again.

WOODY
Oh, no.

HAMM
Oh, yes. Return of the astro-nut.

JESSIE
Woody, we were wrong to leave Andy. I was wrong.

MR.POTATO HEAD
Jessie's right, Woody. She was wrong.

WOODY
No, no, it's my fault for leaving you guys. From now on, we stick together.

SLINKY
But Andy's leavin' for college.

JESSIE
College? Hog-tie the mailman! We gotta get you home before Andy leaves tomorrow!

HAMM
Tomorrow? But that means...

WOODY
It means we're busting out of here, tonight.

MRS. POTATO HEAD
What? Impossible!

REX
But there's no way out of here!

WOODY
No, there is one way out. One way. Okay, here's what we're gonna do.
